First Aid

I don't really think that I need to explain why having First Aid equipment is a good thing so let's just say it's comforting to know you have it nearby.

I have quite an extensive First Aid Kit on board in the cupboard, which I shall review the exact contents of soon, and I have a few basics in a compact bum-bag (fanny-pack for any Americans!) for when we're hiking. It all depends on your personal requirements though as to what you need in your bag.

You'll be pleased to hear it's in fact very easy to be the difference between a life saved and a life lost!

I don't mean it's so easy to do, but by simply buying your kit from St John Ambulance Supplies you are helping the charity provide life saving assistance to people everywhere. There's the chance that the kit itself may help you one day too! Make sure you do get yourself on one of their courses as well so you know how to use it.

You could also volunteer for St John Ambulance if you like, which I can personally vouch for after 6 years of service. I feel very fortunate for what I learned in that time with their help and from getting to know the inspiring members that dedicate their time to saving others.
