Igenix 1100W Travel Iron

Igenix Travel Iron

It’s no secret that I very much dislike ironing, and I have all kinds of methods to keep my clothes flat without needing to do it. I can’t always get away without doing it however, and when most of our clothes are squashed into our limited cupboard space or Vacuum Bags it’s sometimes quite necessary to give them a quick run over to remain somewhat presentable!

Since it only gets used occasionally I wanted something very small, and decided not to get an ironing board to go with it so simply use a woollen army blanket spread out on the side board - like my Nan used to.

Of course it is a designed as a Travel Iron so don’t expect it to last long with a daily load of ironing, but for once in a while use or for holidays it should last many years.

This little travel iron is perfect for our needs! It’s tiny but very well built and even has a steam function which certainly counters it’s limitations in weight. I actually find it better to use than a standard sized iron on clothes like combat trousers or fitted shirts as its small tip works into the awkward areas nicely.

We live neither on or off-grid, rather somewhere in between, and are not the first and I dare say not the last to choose this way of life... read more>>
