Quest Compact Electric Cooking Plate

Quest Compact Electric Cooking PlateQuest Compact Electric Cooking Plate

Wherever you live it’s good sense to have a back-up appliance in case you run out of gas or the cooker breaks etc. For us in the motor home there are also times that we are plugged into electric hook-up on a camp site or at 'base camp' so we figure we might as well take full advantage of that and save the gas altogether!

I tend to use ours mainly for things that will take a long time to cook if we’re on hook up. It does take longer to get up to and maintain its' temperature compared to a gas hob, but that's the same of any electric hob anyway. I’m also too lazy to drag it out of the cupboard for a tea-cups' worth of water so still use the gas hob for a quick brew, but it's perfect to keep a soup or stew simmering away for a few hours, or to make some nice hot porridge on a frosty morning...

It doesn't take up much room in the cupboard and more than pays it's way in fuel savings so we're very pleased with ours!
