Surviva-Pure Canteen Water Filter

Safe drinking water is generally something we take for granted and even when camping there's usually been a handy tap somewhere close-by dispensing an endless supply of drinking quality water!

If you're planning a long hike or wild camping trip however, you need to have something up your sleeve to protect you from any nasties hiding in the river water you may need to drink.

The Surviva-Pure filter is an excellent aid to peace of mind whilst enjoying the wilds, it has built-in purification and post purification filtration that destroys and removes Cryptosporidium Giardia, Anthrax and many more harmful bacteria. It's military approved design means that it's robust and I can attest to it's strength and durability.

The filter itself is attached to the cap and is nice and compact, capable of filtering an incredible 1600 litres of water in it's lifetime! It's also a standard canteen size so fits in other canteen carriers and you can switch the cap to another flask too.

For large volumes of water for washing or cooking etc it's more efficient to use purification tablets of course, but for immediately clean drinking water on the go with no chemical after taste I haven't found anything better!

We live neither on or off-grid, rather somewhere in between, and are not the first and I dare say not the last to choose this way of life... read more>>
