We always seem to get asked the same questions about living somewhat off grid in a motor home, to which the answers seem to spark a dozen more questions! So (to give our voices a rest!) here's the answers to our most frequently asked questions...

Beldray Mini Convector Heater 450W

This was one of those impulse buys that rewarded us with a brilliant product - love it when that happens! We wanted an electric heater on board to save gas for when we're on electric hook up, so when we spotted this at such a good price we snapped it up. After all for £16 if it didn't work well enough we wouldn't be out of pocket by much anyway so was worth the gamble!

It's only 450W and under a foot wide, so to be honest we weren't expecting much but it really does let off a surprising amount of heat. It's clearly not intended for large spaces but keeps our little space at a comfortable temperature, and I'm sure someone with a similar vehicle or even a home office would be very happy with it.

I like the fact that it has thermostatic control, and because it's a convector heater you get instant warmth upon switching on compared to the much slower (and noisy!) oil heaters. It's 240V so requires electric hook-up or an inverter to run from a battery.

The heater comes with plastic feet that you simply screw onto the bottom, and also has a rail on the back for wall mounting which also doubles as a good handle for moving it around. As an added bonus, should you wish to wall mount it, they even supply the rawl plugs along with the screws! We haven't chosen to mount it anywhere instead moving it to wherever heat is required on board Waki for clothes drying etc, and storing it away during summer.

So in summary it's so compact we barely notice it hanging around in the living room, provides great warmth for our space and was an excellent price! The link is below for yours ;)
