Coleman F1 Lite - lightweight camping stove

The smallest and lightest Coleman gas stove you can find! Seriously small, this teeny tiny folding stove fits into the palm of your hand and certainly appeals to the efficiency nut inside me. It comes in it's own tiny drawstring pouch to keep the dust out, which also has room for a lighter inside (ensures you don't forget one!), and can be connected to a variety of sized Coleman gas cannisters. The stabilisation of the stove actually relies on the flat base of the cannister itself to support it, if you'll be heating a large full pan it makes sense to use a larger cannister to balance it out safely (of course that might counteract the very point of buying a tiny stove though!). Even with the smallest of Coleman's gas cannisters the can is the largest part of the set up.

We've used quite a range of different camping stoves over the years and by far this is the best we've ever had. I stay well away from any meths-spirits burners nowadays, after the spillage that caused a meths-infused kettle on one trip! Urgh! :/

It's a little fiddly to put together the first time but after that you'll get on just fine, with a few twists here and there the arms slide into position ready to accept your mug or pot. Ah, a lovely cup of tea wherever you may be... :) It's well made and looks like it will serve us for many more years that's for sure.

We live neither on or off-grid, rather somewhere in between, and are not the first and I dare say not the last to choose this way of life... read more>>
