Chocolate Milkshake Mix

Fancy a chilled chocolatey hit but don’t have any commercial milkshake mix with you? Or perhaps you just don’t like the high sugar and chemical content of the store bought kinds?

Don't worry - you’ve probably got everything you need in the cupboard/pack already for a fraction of the cost!

I like to scale up the recipe and keep it pre-mixed in a jar in the cupboard with a few scoops of protein powder for additional nutrition. See the recipe for one large glass below:

1 tbsp. of cocoa powder

2-3 tbsp. of brown sugar to taste

Milk to mix with (dairy or nut/soy alternatives work equally well)

1. Add the cocoa and sugar to the bottom of a tall glass and mix with a tiny splash of milk, enough to form a paste.

2. Gradually add more milk, stirring continuously to allow the paste to blend smoothly without lumps until the glass is filled.

3. Enjoy!Buy Xylitol on Amazon now!Buy Xylitol on Amazon now!

You can also use a natural sweetener instead of sugar as a healthier option. We like Xylitol as a sweetener which is extracted from Birch trees as it looks and tastes like regular sugar but with 75% less carbs and it actually helps your teeth too! Link to Amazon Xylitol>>

Or for a healthier option that retains the rich brown sugar flavour but a whopping 98% less calories than real sugar we also use Sukrin Gold natural sweetener>Buy Sukrin Gold on Amazon now!Buy Sukrin Gold on Amazon now!
