Garlic Mayo Dip

Garlic & Chives mayo dip - camping & picnic recipeGarlic & Chives mayo dip - camping & picnic recipeA fool-proof and delicious mayo based dip, this simple creation is always well received at picnics and parties. It goes with pretty much everything; veg sticks, crisps and chips, BBQ's meats, and sometimes we've even been known to smear some into a warm toasted pitta for a simple yet indulgent snack! :P

Yep, garlic stinks - but this dip is far too tasty to worry about that! Garlic offers immense health benefits to its fans by strengthening your heart, improving the circulation and even boasts anti-viral properties (as if you'll need any better reason to have another dunk). Parsley is good for the digestion and can help freshen breath so what better herb to add to a Garlic dip?

Chopped garlic just doesn't have the same flavour as grated or crushed, check out this handy little grater for getting a good puree whilst saving space and weight!

1 cup mayonnaise

2 cloves garlic, crushed or grated / 1 tsp dried (go on and use more if you're a true garlic fan!)

1/2 spring onion / chives, finely chopped

1 small handful finely chopped fresh parsley / 1 tbsp. dried

1. Peel and grate/crush your garlic and chop your herbs and chives.

2. Combine all ingredients and mix well. Pop in the fridge until you need it, best left for at least an hour for the flavours to develop before serving.

3. Dollop on or dip in and enjoy! Yep, it's that easy!
